Obviously reducing the number of occupants reduces the revenue stream. This is a big issue in investing in student rental housing
I’m am writing this e-mail on behalf of myself, my wife and my three brothers. Together we own 8 investor registered 2-unit accessory houses.
We have several concerns with the proposals, but our major concern is the City’s intent to rescind the present 2-unit investor accessory house program on a retro-active bases. If the City used licensing by-laws, to force us to reduce our bedrooms per house from 6 to 4 it would create a crippling financial challenge for us.
Please read this correspondence. This issue is of great concern to us & other landlords that we have spoken to.
